Chocolate Star Cookies

I found these Chocolate stars at Target in the cooking section where you buy the chocolate chips. I was going to bake them for Christmas but I forgot I had them. You can find the recipe here and on the back of the bag. When you make them make sure you make small balls of dough, because the cookie will spread. They are very good.  I decided to made them tonight just because sometimes I just need to bake.

Chocolate Star Cookies

½ cup butter
1 cup firmly packed brown sugar
1 teaspoon milk
1 teaspoon vanilla
½ cup peanut butter
1 egg
1 1/3 cup all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
½ teaspoon salt
Granulated sugar for rolling
1 bag Brach’s Chocolate Stars
Heat oven to 350⁰ F.

Combine butter, brown sugar, milk and vanilla in a bowl. Beat in peanut butter. Beat at medium speed of electric mixer until well blended. Beat egg into creamed mixture.
Combine flour, salt and baking soda. Mix into creamed mixture until just blended.
Pinch of pieces of dough and roll into one inch balls. Roll the balls in sugar and place one inch apart on ungreased baking sheet.
Bake for 10-13 minutes until just starting to color. Remove from oven and quickly press Chocolate Star firmly into top of each cookie (cookie will crack around the edges). Remove to wire racks to cool completely.Pin It
